Career Skills
- Install a variety of operating systems, including major components, resources, and virtual and memory management.
- Build and configure network systems, diagnose system hardware and software problems, and perform remediation.
- Learn network fundamentals including theoretical models, topologies, protocols, design, layout, implementation, and troubleshooting.
- Configure, troubleshoot, and support desktop and server versions of Microsoft Windows operating systems.
- Implement information security policy and procedures, maintain compliance, and follow organizational standards.
- Gain theoretical knowledge of network systems management and techniques for support and analysis.
- Gauge the impact and vulnerabilities of web data information on cyber and network security, including governance and forensics.
- Develop, design, execute, and manage a relational database. For example, MS SQL or Oracle SQL.

- Develop web and mobile page designs with HTML/CSS features, including JavaScript; and manage Search Engine Optimization (SEO).

Introducing the MBA Fast Track program, in partnership with West Liberty University (WLU).
This new program is designed to accelerate the timeline for PTC graduates to earn their MBA, saving tuition and time. PTC students pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration can earn up to 12 credit hours of advanced standing toward their MBA, while students working toward a Bachelor of Science in Applied Management can earn up to nine credit hours, with Bachelor of Science in Information Technology students earning up to six hours.
A PTC education gives students a strong foundation in academic theory and applied learning, including a required internship. WLU’s MBA program is designed to enhance core business capabilities and add strategic competencies through three concentration areas: Management, Forensic Accounting, and Healthcare Management.
