The learning in our business program goes beyond the campus. You’ll gain valuable experience through an in-field internship that can offer a path to full-time employment. Your instructors will work with our Career Services team to help you find the right business to approach, sharpen your interview skills, and craft your resume.
Through this unique opportunity, you’ll become more confident, be part of a team to solve real-world challenges—and, you may land a full-time position.

Healthcare
A clinical rotation can be a big assist in starting your career.
In two years or less, we’ll prepare you for a position in a hospital, medical office, surgical suite or massage therapy clinic, in a role that’s suited to your interests and your abilities. For you, that means a clinical rotation before you graduate to learn valuable skills in a healthcare or medical facility. We provide 100% of our on site, degree-seeking students internships or clinical rotations before they graduate.

You will take what you’ve learned to the next (and real-world level) through an internship. And you may join those who’ve turned their internships into full-time positions.
No matter the IT path you choose, you will be placed in an internship, typically during your last quarter at PTC. Trades Technology
Prepare to help meet a growing demand.
You’re in the middle of a local and regional construction boom that’s changing the area’s landscape—and creating real opportunities for skilled tradespeople. And before new hospitals can advance medicine and new industrial plants can boost the economy, they need skilled welders, electricians, and HVAC technicians to play their critical roles in the construction of new facilities. The opportunities are out there, and they aren’t going away any time soon.

Online
At Pittsburgh Technical College, we approach online learning differently.
Before you graduate, if you are pursuing an associate or bachelor’s degree, you’ll work on a capstone project that will mean partnering with an employer in your field to gain more real-world experience and insight, too. This is a required part of our curriculum and that experience belongs on your resume when it’s time for your job search.
