Career Exploration Opportunities
Middle School & High School Teachers & Counselors
Overview
A large university isn’t right for all students. PTC’s legacy of education for career success is founded on a project-based curriculum, hands-on learning, and the value of real-world experience, including the fact that all degree seeking students have immersive internships or clinical rotations before they graduate. We award associate and bachelor’s degrees (certificates, too), in more than 25 programs.
When you need us, we’re here.
PTC is proud to serve secondary counselors, teachers, and students with Career Exploration opportunities.
We highlight why students should consider pursuing a STEM career in Pittsburgh and introduce them to information about high-demand job options.
We strive to get kids and teens thinking about possibilities.

Resources for high school teachers and counselors
If you’re interested in learning more about PTC—or know of a student who is—our tours are notedly eye-opening.
- Students can schedule a personal tour here. We can’t wait to meet them.
- High school seniors should start here to get information about grants, scholarships, and other resources specifically tailored to their needs.
- If you’re interested in a field trip to our campus with your students, we will be happy to accommodate. If you have a group of 20+ students, then transportation costs will be covered by PTC. Also, lunch is on us!
- If it’s easier, we can have a representative come and talk with a class or classes at your high school. We are currently scheduling both in-person and virtual presentations depending on what best suits your needs and school’s guidelines. Please contact Steve Macri, Director of First Impressions, (macri.steve@ptcollege.edu) to schedule presentations.
