Some students prefer the independence of private accommodations.
PTC’s Resident Life Department can suggest private apartments convenient to our North Fayette Campus. You choose the apartment and make arrangements with the landlord or leasing agent. Monthly rent varies widely depending on the unit, amenities, size and location, accessibility to public transportation, and number of roommates. Request a Private Housing Guide for details.
Student housing requires a one-year commitment.
PTC student housing is available to students under the age of 26.
Students residing in on- or off-campus student apartments must leave during the July break for apartment cleaning and maintenance.Download the Student Housing Handbook
Steps to secure your housing
- TALK WITH ADMISSIONS
Schedule a call and visit with admissions to get a feel for residential life.
- SCHEDULE A FINANCIAL AID APPOINTMENT
Your PTC financial aid planner can give you a good idea of how housing costs work with your financial aid package.
- MAKE YOUR HOUSING DECISION
Consider your options and decide if PTC student housing is the best fit for you.
- SECURE YOUR HOUSING ASSIGNMENT
- Submit the $350.00 housing deposit
- Submit your Housing Preference Information
- Submit the Housing Agreement
Submit your housing deposit and required forms in your dashboard account. Housing assignments are made based on the date the deposit is made. Student housing is limited.
*Note that $100.00 of the security deposit is refundable after the agreement term is over and deductions have been applied.
- STAY IN TOUCH
Review the housing timeline information in your dashboard for upcoming deadlines. As move-in day approaches, you will receive additional information in your dashboard about Orientation and Housing assignments. Your Admissions Coordinator can answer other questions that you have.
Resident Life attempts to honor roommate requests, but cannot make guarantees. Roommates must request one another; use the Housing Preference Information form in the MyPTC dashboard to do this. If you do not request a roommate, we make the best match possible using the information you provide. PTC does not offer co-ed student apartments. However, buildings are co-educational. PTC currently prioritizes consideration of students’ academic programs and other factors to help minimize Covid-19 spread.
Get crafty. Stay healthy. Meet new people.
The on- and off-campus housing team sponsors year-round events to support an active and engaged lifestyle. What you participate in is up to you, but we encourage you to get involved with some of the events and meet new friends. This is just a sample of what you’ll find:
- Fall Fest
- Sports leagues and tournaments
- Holiday bash
