Explain any interesting projects that you have worked on:
While at Pocket Nurse, I have participated in multiple projects involving multiple departments. I have assisted with catalog projects to make sure they are accurate. I am involved in the creation of a Diversity and Inclusion Committee where I have had to research how to make the environment more inclusive and diverse and present it to leadership and management. I also manage the monitors in the building to provide communication throughout the company.
What did you learn at PTC that still inspires you to this day?
I have become more comfortable presenting and talking to large groups of people, thanks to my participation in Open Houses as the Resident Assistant at PTC, my speech classes, and presentations I made while attending school.
What and who were your biggest influencers as a PTC student?
The biggest influence for me was having the opportunity to work as a PTC Resident Assistant assisting the students. In this role, I learned how to perfect my leadership, communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. The resident life staff taught me so much and were always willing to guide me, when needed. Thanks to this experience I have evolved professionally. Ms. Apel was another huge influencer by always answering my questions and preparing me for interviews in order to excel in my career.
