Please provide a brief job description and list any awards or recognitions you have received:
I have worked in several positions over the years since graduation. I started out as a drafter and my responsibilities included updating FEMA mapping. Today, I’m a Sr. Information Management Analyst for Baltimore Gas & Electric. I’m responsible for maintaining the compatible units that our designers use to create estimates for our customers. I’ve also been responsible for improving ways for our customers to pay for their construction costs. Past positions at BGE also included programming MicroStation with custom linestyles and interfaces to streamline design operations. I was also a distribution designer where I was responsible for designing or improving distribution electric lines to meet customer access and capacity.
Explain any interesting projects that you have worked on:
I’ve worked on many interesting projects throughout the years. My current project is to revamp the Compatible Unit Structure that our design forces currently use. This includes meshing materials and time to create more accurate estimates for our customers. This information is also used to forecast future needs for field forces, budgeting and supply needs.
What did you learn at PTC that still inspires you to this day?
I’ve learned several academic skills during my time at PTC. The intangibles are the skills that continue to inspire me through today. The best advice I can give is come to work ready to learn.
Who were your biggest influencers as a PTC student?
Ms. Pysk and Mr. Schneider
Is there anything else you’d like to share? Personal accomplishments?
I’ve accomplished much since graduation. For every personal accomplishment, there is a team of people that make it happen. I say this because I may have had an idea that lead to an implementation, but without a team of great people, it never gets across the finish line.
