Software Development Club
If you are into computers, the Software Development Club at PTC is worth checking out. The club is open to anyone who is interested and you don’t have to have an extensive knowledge of programming to enjoy this active club.

Meetings are held every Tuesday and members get together to collaborate on a series of projects that the group has decided on. Some of the more recent projects have involved using game software to create games to post on interactive TVs around campus. The group has also been checking out the new virtual reality 3D goggles and getting involved in some new software for them. Occasionally, the group will visit a nearby company such as the trip to Google that was organized recently.
“Student really run this club,” Mel Tomeo, the Faculty Advisor, explained. “Our objective is to enhance our members’ knowledge in coding. The club brings people together who share an interest in coding.”
“Our plans are to continue to grow the club,” Mr. Tomeo continued. “We would love to have new members. There is no coding experience needed. We will get you started and then point you in the right direction.”

So, if software and coding are areas of interest for you, this club could be a great place to meet fellow students, learn some code, and learn the latest in this ever-changing industry.
