Brittney Franklin, PTC LPN Graduate, Receives The Daisy Award
Brittney Franklin, a 2020 graduate of our Practical Nursing (LPN) program, was recently the recipient of The Daisy Award. She was nominated by a fellow nurse at her current workplace, Verland Foundation, and has been described as very compassionate and understanding of the patients’ needs. Brittney shared, “Going to PTC made me so prepared for the working world! I learned not only the knowledge needed to be a nurse but also compassion and dedication.”
The Daisy Award is an exceptional award given to a nurse to recognize them for going above and beyond. Nurses can be nominated by patients, family members, other nurses, physicians, or anyone who observes the nurse’s extraordinary level of care.
One of Brittney’s instructors, Kimberly Jutca-Taylor, MSN, Ed., RN, commented, “Brittney has had many successes while at PTC. She has achieved high honors, perfect attendance, and the Nursing Excellence Award at the Nursing Pinning Ceremony. Brittney has been a role model for her fellow students and has proven her success now in her nursing position. I am proud to share her achievement of receiving The Daisy Award. Brittney continues to amaze me every day.”
We are so proud of Brittney’s accomplishments, and we look forward to seeing where her bright future takes her. Learn more about PTC’s Practical Nursing program.
