The local stories you see on the news are what I bring to life, either by gathering stories on my own that I’m assigned to by the assignment desk or partnering up with a reporter. We cover anything from breaking news, investigative stories, or weather. Our goal is to make sure our viewers get the latest scoop on what’s happening in our area. The photographers are required to be able to edit in the field and go live with either a LiveU unit or truck. Social media is becoming a huge part of how we advertise our newscast and when any kind of breaking news is happening.
Fondest PTC memory: Working in the studio as a studio monitor and being able to work on projects based on my interests. Having our instructors allow us to express who we are made it easier to be inspired as to what we wanted to bring into our projects.
2019 New Year’s resolution: To continue to become a better news photographer and to slowly work myself back into the “artsy” side by creating fun projects for myself.
