Choose two paths within this major.
Hotel and Restaurant Management
Choose our Hotel and Restaurant Management concentration, and you’ll study meeting and event planning, inventory control and accounting, employee relations, and other hospitality industry fundamentals. Then you’ll learn the keys to running hotels, resorts, facilities, entertainment venues, restaurants, and food service operations. You’ll work with instructors who share their real-world experience inside the classroom, as well as through field trips and industry guest speakers. And they’ll help you prepare for important industry certifications you’ll need to launch your career.

Travel and Tourism Management
The Travel and Tourism management concentration is all about setting you up for a career in the world of leisure and corporate travel. Here, you’ll explore everything from domestic and international travel to pricing to global distribution systems including Sabre, Apollo, Worldspan, Amadeus and Galileo. Your education will include an exploration of various segments of tourism from attractions, visitor bureaus, cruise lines, car rentals, meeting and events, and more. You’ll learn from instructors who’ve been there—and there, and there—and done it all. You’ll gain valuable insight and perspective from their real-world industry experience.
