Directions and Parking
Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hall & Museum is located in the Oakland area of the City of Pittsburgh, on Fifth Avenue (4100 block) between Bigelow Boulevard and University Place, with O’Hara in the rear. The Oakland area is approximately four miles out of downtown Pittsburgh. Fifth Avenue is one-way into town and Forbes Avenue is one-way out from town to Oakland. The building and grounds take the full city block.
(The Cathedral of Learning of the University of Pittsburgh is diagonal on Fifth Avenue.)

From PA Turnpike:
Take I-376 (west) to Oakland Exit, #3B
Proceed Up hill on Bates Street
Left on S. Bouquet Street
Right on Forbes Avenue
Left on Bigelow Boulevard
From I-79:
Exit I-279 Pittsburgh to I-376 Oakland
Take I-376 to Oakland Exit to Forbes Avenue
Turn left on Bigelow Boulevard
From the Airport:
Follow Route 60 to I-279 Pittsburgh
Take I-376 to Oakland Exit to Forbes Avenue
Turn left on Bigelow Boulevard
Parking
Paid parking is available on the street or in the parking garage located under the lawn in front of Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hall & Museum. Nearby parking will fill early so families should plan accordingly. Enclosed is a map of the surrounding parking areas.
